Turkey Days over already....

Well looks like Turkey Day has come and gone. I personally had to work on Thanksgiving, so not a lot of family time this year. But I did get to spend some time with everyone, just enough not to hear the little squabbles that go on when to many people get in to the kitchen,lol. I love my family, but on the holidays theirs always a few little arguments. Nothing big, but like I said, to many people in the kitchen at one time, the kids sticking there fingers into a pie that's on the counter just close enough for them to reach, you know things like that.lol My kids had a blast with there grandparents and other family though.

Then there was black Friday!! Fun, fun.Not really though, I had to work black Friday and that was interesting,lol I didnt have to be there 1st thing in the morning, thank God!! But it was still hectic enough. And were still trying to get everything back to they way its suppose to be.

But enough about that...... Not a ton of scrapping going on here lately. My little ones were sick, then me. And then it was kinda like my Mojo just disappeared, so for the last week I've been non-creative..... But that hasn't stopped me from buying scrapping goodies!! lol. I have tons I've got and want to play with.I've been searching on the net for challenges and checking out other blogs for inspiration. I think I might have found some, so I'm going to try and jump on that tonight.

I'm going to try and start posting more often, hope that will stick. That's my plan for now. Off to laze around and spend some time with the kiddos.

A new venture???

Well I've been aware of Etsy for a long time now, as a lot of people are. My mom and sister have tried to encourage me to start my own shop on there to sell my scrap goodies. I've thought about it a lot and I'm kinda leaning towards opening my own shop. I haven't gone that far yet, but I have joined, so I have the option. Its something nice to play around with.lol

I've been trying to rationalize with myself on doing this, I know I scrap for fun and to keep my memories in a way that I think is pretty and will preserve them. And I have a few family members that expect to get layouts or mini albums for almost every holiday, so I usually have some laying around. So I think I might do it and see how it goes....... lol trying to convince myself I guess! Well I'll just start out with making a banner and avatar for my shop and then will see where I go from there.......

gone awhile, back again

Ok, so it’s been forever again since I blogged, but there’s been so much going on!!! The kiddos have started school; we’ve all been sick, ear drums bursting again!! Kids loosing teeth, family moving back and all kinds of crazy stuff!! But I have to say, I love it all. I’m happy to be with my family when their sick, I’m glad to know I can be there for them.
I have to say I’ve also had some fun going on too. Like I said I had family move back, that’s been in the last 2 weeks, and it’s great. My sister and her little girl are here now!! I’m loving it!! I’m getting to see my sister more and getting to know my niece more as well and it’s great. Me and my sister have been making bows for her little girl, so that’s been kind of new and fun!
But I’ve been scrapbooking too!! Lol. I think I’ve made like eight mini albums, well one is an art journal, and I’ve done some page layouts and some altered art stuff. I’m kind of a night owl, lol. So when everyone’s asleep, I get to get some of my fun stuff done, no interruption.
But since its been so long since I’ve blogged, I thought I’d share a few parts of the things I’ve been doing. And I have tons more that I’ll be sharing soon. So anyways, here are some bits and pieces of my projects…..














Ok so I know its bits and pieces here and there. I didnt show a full album, but I have tons that I've done. And there are so many scrapbook lines that I've bought and need to use!! More and more to come!!

I've been playing around with the challenge Websters pages has issued. Webster's Pages October Monthly Challenge: Dress a Dress Form. As soon as I'm finished I'll post pictures of it as well! Well that's all for now. Back again soon.

There are so many new things to play with!!!

OMG!! I'm loving the new releases from CHA. I've been playing with some of it! I love the new BoBunny lines! There so great. I've even got to play with the Whoo-ligans line and I loved it! I made a mini album out of the paper line and had so much fun doing it. Its being displayed at a local scrap store right now, but I'll have to get some pictures of it so I can post them here.

I've got to play with some of the new Basic Grey, love it as well. And all of the new Glimmer mists, glimmer glam, glimmer glaze and chalk board glimmer mist. There all so fun to play with. I love the bigger glitter in the glam and I love the way you can paint with the glaze and it looks so cute, I love the gloss sheen it leaves. And I love that the chalk board GM is so fun, to me it seems like it leaves more color behind. Crate papers new stuff is great! I've got to see it in person and like it even more then when I saw it on the computer, and Graphic 45, OMG!! I thought I loved steam punk debutant when I saw it on the computer, but I saw it Saturday for the 1st time in person and I can not wait to play with it!! Its so beautiful! There are so many things still out there that I haven't got to play with yet, but theirs still plenty of time for that.

I got to go scrapbooking this past weekend at my LSS, Scrapbook Corner, They had a Labor Day weekend crop, and it was so fun to get to go and be around all the scrapping fun. I got quite a few projects started but nothing really finished, lol! But I plan to have them finished by the end of the week. I have I think 4 single page LO's and a mini album. Oh I love the new Maya roads stuff too!! Cant get enough!! lol

So I'm going to say, I'll have my pictures up by the end of the week, and I'll also try to get pictures of my book made with the BoBunny Whoo-ligans line. So hope you stop by later to see!! Off to have some more fun!

New mini, distressed and grungy

Well I know I wrote that I had one of my memory cards break off in my computer, well we got it out, but it didnt seem to fix it, it wouldn't let me download anything when I put my memory cards in, so I had to find a way around it, I was going to try cds, but that would mean going to Walmart every time I wanted to put anything on my computer and I'm one of those people that wants instant gratification, so that didnt work for me,lol. Well when I did go to get a cd made I found this little card reader that plugs right into you USB port, problem solved!! So here are a few new things that I've been working on and have actually finished.




I got some of the new Tim Holtz papers about a week ago and I love them! Tim Holtz rules! lol The one I did this mini with is Lost and Found. I'm going to have to get some more of this! I like grunge and when I saw this paper it was like, Swoon..... lol I had fun with it though. I just wish I could have fit all of the pages in it! When I actually got it done I couldn't fit all of the pages in it, I even added one of Tim Holtzs knobs and put a closure on it to hold it better,lol but still only 6 of the pages fit in. I guess I could stick the rest of the pages in, but it doesn't close at all that way,hummmmm. Maybe I'll make another mini.... the possibility... :)


And here is a page I did of my sister and her little girl, it was for a sketch challenge online and I thought these pictures were perfect for this layout. Now I have to make sure my sister doesn't get her hands on it!! lol




And then here's a layout I did of me and my hubby. Its a little different then most of my LO's. I've played with transparency's before but this LO is on a transparency. I love the look of the LO's on transparency's. Anyways I think I've talked enough for now,lol, I tend to be long winded and I guess that even goes over to typing! But here's my last LO for the day.

woo hoo, I got my car back!!!

I finally got my car back today!! After three weeks almost! It sounds stupid, but I was so excited to get my own car back. My parents were great and let me use there car while mine was in the shop getting fixed. But I'm so happy to have her back!!

I've been searching the web and looking at all of the new stuff from the new CHA release. And I cant wait till some of it hits the stores!! I'm already putting money back form my scrap habit!

I want pretty much everything from Prima!!! There masks are great and cant wait to play with those! The papers are great and the flowers and trims and the new albums!!! OMG cant wait!

I probably have an opinion about just about every line that's coming out!lol I love to scrapbook! There are so many lines that I want, I need to get a job! Just to support my habit! lol

If its not one thing its another, right.....

Well if I'm not on here for a while it usually has to do with my kids or me, either being sick or other family stuff. Well its been two weeks or a little more and theres been SOOOOO much going on.

I've made some stuff and wanted to get the pictures on here, but when I put my memory card in my computer it BROKE!!!! In the little slot where it goes. I don't know what I'm going to do about it, I was going to take it some where but I was suppose to be leaving with my husband to go on a little vacation/some classes for his work. Well I was fallowing him down and I got in a wreck. I swerved to miss a semi, went around the back of the semi and into a pretty deep ditch. It damaged the car enough to where in would take a while to fix, so I didnt get to go.:( I did get to spend that day in the ER though. God had to have been watching over me, because I made it out with whip lash and a lower lumbar strain. It would have been so much worse. When I got home from that I had a house full of guest,lol, we had a bunch of family come into town, they were suppose to stay at my parents, but since I was back we decided to have some come and stay with me. That was nice and once everyone left after that week, my kids got sick! lol always something....

So now I have a sick little one, hes had a high fever and been trowing up, so I took him to the doctor and its all from an ear infection. But hes on meds now and should be fine soon! Thank God!! So now to getting my computer fixed!! So hopefully I'll get some new stuff posted soon!
