Well I wanted to apologize for binging MIA for so long. So many things have happened. My computer crashed on me, so I was bouncing from one friends computer to another but I couldn't get all my stuff uploaded to their computers. I did get my computer some what fixed and then both og my kids got really sick and then there has been some personal stuff, Family wise, that I'm just not ready to share yet, so please forgive me for being gone so long and I hope you still check back and will see I'm back!!

Well lets see..... I have been scrapping some here and there, more so lately. Its been nice to get back into it, I missed it! I've also been doing more out door things with my kids and that's been nice too. We've been having fun with little experiments, for instance, we got a few bottles of coke the other day and a few packages of mentos took them outside in the yard. When you put the mintos in the coke they start spewing out, (really an experiment for out side!), well depending on how many mentos you put in the higher the fountain that comes out. Needless to say my boys LOVED it!! Were going to start rock candy some time after it gets cold because that one will take time. I've got recipes for moon much, gack, play dough and some other things. Were also going to try some other science projects and more outside things not that its starting to cool down. Well going to go for now, post more later. And its nice to be back!!!

Mothers Day and a project

So how was your Mothers Day?? I hope it was great! My Mothers Day gift came a few days early this year. My kids and hubby got me an adorable little Maltese puppy. She's great and so fun. And so little. She reminds me of a cat kind of,lol. She pounces and attacks stuff, So fun. I'll have to get a picture up here in the next few days. Shes always running around doing something. :)

Well this here LO is one I did for the Lets Get Peachy Design team. I, like fellow scrappers have a hard time scrapping our selves. Were usually busy scrapping our kiddos, family and other friends and pets. So this was kind of hard for me, but I think I did an alright job.

Well I have tons to get done, few projects here and there. I also have a few shows that are on tonigh that I want to catch, then back to scrapping.lol

Yesterday I actually got to scrapping!! I went to my LSS, I got to go and finish up some projects and start some new ones,lol, it was so nice!! Here's my messy scrap ares at my LSS,lol. Spread out over a 6ft table, got my m&m's, my zune, coke and my camera, I was good to go!! lol :) This is kinda clean though....just thought that when I looked at the picture,haha when I scrap at home it look so much more messy... Maybe its just me maybe its not that messy here at home, I'll have to take a picture tonight when I'm scrapping and compare it to this one,lol

Anyways......It was great to be around the other scrappers too, more inspiration, more ideas!! lol And new products!!! Love that so much!! Let me see.... I got some BoBunny, Graphic 45, Webster's pages, Pink Paislee, more chipboard, I always need more of that too!lol And I got some of the new 7 Gypsies Collage tissue paper, distress inks and more Tim Holtz goodness!! I cant wait to play with it!! Now I need to get me some more flowers and glimmer mist!! Then I'd be set for a while :) Maybe......lol.

I have so many things I want to try now! I have so many altered projects flying around in my head, I need to write them down so I dot forget!! lol But during the day today, it doesn't look like I'm going to get much scrapping done, But that's ok. tonight I will,lol. I have a birthday party to get ready for! My oldest turned 6 the other day and now were having his party tomorrow, and God willing it will be a great day! But I'm doing the cake tonight so I dont have to rush in the morning to get it done, so that will take a little of the stress out of it,lol. Might have to post some of the pictures tomorrow! :)

Ok so the title has two meanings,lol. It's been crazy here, but I've loved it!! But I just feel like I can't fully get back into the swing of things and I cant get enough sleep, or I guess you can say I cant get charged back up! lol Lame I know... anyways....

Well when I say its been busy around here these are some of the things we've been doing.....
My oldest son has been wanting his room painted green for so long, so I went and got some of the little sample bottles and painted 3 big squares on his wall and let him choose. So one night we made a fort in the living room and let him sleep out there, we cranked up the music and painted his room. And he loves it!! Now we just need to up date his room some more for a big boy room. We put in a new desk and TV and he was totally excited that he had a place to do home work and to watch his movies. Still more to do there but its going to be a little at a time. Then in our youngest room we just rearranged and put a new TV in, to be honest I'm not to psyched about either of them having a TV in there rooms, I think there too young, just what I think but my hubby thought it would be great. Anyways..... Well then we rearanged out living room and my hubby built a new TV stand, I'll have to get some pictures of the too, I think he did a great job though. And we also painted my kitchen!! I was so excited about all the changes in the house. We've lived in this house for 4 years and were juts starting to make it look like a home, and its still got a long way to go!

But now we have a birthday party to plan and I have to get on the invites and everything. My little guy is turning 6!! Its crazy to think!! But Im so looking forward to this next week!! Its spring break and I'll get to have some time to wind down and recharge with my little ones!! I think the extra time with them will totally do it for me!!

Oh yeah the reason I haven't had any pictures lately was because my charger broke and I cant find one in the store anywhere!! So I don't know what to do. Honestly I don't have the money to buy a new camera right now, so I'm going to barrow my moms tonight and take some pictures and get them on here. Sorry for the lull in the blog but I'm so use to blogging with pictures,lol.

Well I worked today, I have to say it was nice to get out of the house for a while and be around other adults. I got home and made dinner for the kiddies, My oldest was suppose to have a B-Ball game tonight, but I got off work late and then he didnt feel real great either. Well got them fed, chicken nuggets tonight,lol, because the chicken and dumplings wasnt ready yet. But then we all sat in the living room and made a pallet and watched Open Season 3. Kinda cute, not big into it. Anyways.... so right now I'm sitting at my desk eating chicken and dumplings and waiting for the live show to watch the rest of the CHA sneak peeks. Cant wait!! I've also got my sewing machine out in front of me, going to play with that some and I've got a movie to watch too.lol. Wondering if I'm going to get everything done that I want tonight. Oh and I also already started my laundry! lol. Well off to watch and do some stuff! Later

Ok so I've been home sick for almost 5 days now and it stinks so much. I'm so ready to be better and feeling better instead of feeling sick to my stomach, tired and achy all the time. UGH!! But I have to go back to work tomorrow, hopefully I'll feel better in the morning. I haven't even been on my computer in that time, that's crazy for me.lol. Anyways, now it looks like my little ones might be getting it. Witch makes since, my mom and sister have it too,I just hate when my little ones are sick. But....

Other then that its been a pretty good morning. I went to the doctor yesterday and was told I had the flu and they couldn't do anything for me, but I got to town before I planned so I went and sat at the LSS, well while I was there waiting to go to the doctor, the new 7 Gypsies line came in. OMG I love it!! And I got it!! Well I went to bed early last night, as soon as the kiddies were down, and slept until one of the boys work me up not feeling good, so I cuddled him and got him back to sleep and couldn't get back to sleep myself, so I saw the 7gypsies and decided to play with it until I could go back to bed. Well I almost finished an album,lol. But not quite. lol If I start feeling any better, I'll have it done in a few day or maybe tomorrow! lol. But not only that, but this morning I got a package in from the lovely FedEx truck!! Its from a fellow scrapper, wasn't expecting it for a few more days, but its here and I love it. Its older stuff but I love it. I got a whole pad of Prima paper and it beautiful!! some cool rub ons by Crate paper and Jenni Bowlin and a really cool stamp!

Well I'm going to lay back down and try and start feeling better. But I thought I'd share that.lol. Since I haven't been on here much lately. Hope I'll be posting more very soon! I have plenty to play with!! lol

Welcome to 2011!!! Hope everyones had a good evening so far. I worked today, came home and saw my children for a while, they went to bed. I popped a DVD into my computer here and started scrapping. Cant pass up an opportunity to scrap, So I took an old hard back book and cut the pages out. I've seen this done before and wanted to try it myself, so I did.lol Well I cut out the pages, covered the book with beautiful Websters pages papers. This being my first time, I made some mistakes, or I guess I should say things I would do differently next time. Well after I covered the book with papers, I inked it and then sewed in my pages, witch are water color paper. Then I cut some pretty little things from the Websters pages paper and added them as embellishments. Well its getting late and I have to be at work early in the A.M. so I'm going to call it a night, but I thought I'd post it and let y'all see it. I'm not finished with it yet, I'll add more later. and once Im done I'll post the finished project. Happy New years everyone!!!!

Merry late Christmas everyone!!! I hope everyone had a good day with family, friends and loved ones! We had a pretty good day our selves. My sister and her family were down for Christmas as well, we all wanted to be together Christmas morning like we were when we were little, so we all stayed at our parents house. Us adults stayed up late and did the Santa thing, then me and my sis stayed up talking, so needless to say, morning came early, like 5:30am!! The kids were up and raring to go!! lol

I had pictures to post of the tree, but I cant believe I'm going to say thins, but I left my camera at my parents house. So it looks like I'll have to make a trip that way again today! lol I'm never with out my camera so this is odd. The kids are in the living room playing with remote control cars and having a blast and I don't have a camera to take pictures. But I'm sure they'll be playing with them for a while.

But one thing I can say for out family, even though were grown with our own kids we've stuck to the same traditions. On Christmas day when we were kids we had to wait to open our presents until our parents had there first cup of coffee, then my dad would pass out all our gifts, once he'd passed everything out we'd start opening. Well we did the same thing this year, with all of us being at there house. Not sure what my sister dose at her house but we do the same at my house for Christmas. I like tradition. I did, however miss my brothers and there families! I'm hoping that one year in the near future will ALL get to be together for Christmas!
Ok so on a different note....I watch Marion Smiths ustream channel, if you haven't watched her you really, REALLY need to check her out! Anyways.... She kinda issued a challenge on her show the other day. Were all trying to get to know each other better so she wants us to try and post a youtube video or ustream video, I'll have to check again. But one video for every day of January. It can be of anything, just so we get to know each other a little better, a little insight to each others life's I guess. I think its kinda cool, I'm looking forward to it. My only problem is that I don't have a web cam. I might attempt to use the recording on my cannon and see if that will work. I'm going to test this before January 1st. lol. But So far my thoughts are to do videos on projects I haven't finished and try to finish those on the little videos and if I run out of those, then I have a folder on my computer that's got things in it that I've been wanting to do, so maybe this will be a way for me to do that, a little push,lol!! Well off to get some stuff done before I have to go into work this afternoon, short lived little vacation from work, hu?? Oh well I was with my family on Christmas, we got to celebrate together, that's all that matters. Again I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and God bless!

Turkey Days over already....

Well looks like Turkey Day has come and gone. I personally had to work on Thanksgiving, so not a lot of family time this year. But I did get to spend some time with everyone, just enough not to hear the little squabbles that go on when to many people get in to the kitchen,lol. I love my family, but on the holidays theirs always a few little arguments. Nothing big, but like I said, to many people in the kitchen at one time, the kids sticking there fingers into a pie that's on the counter just close enough for them to reach, you know things like that.lol My kids had a blast with there grandparents and other family though.

Then there was black Friday!! Fun, fun.Not really though, I had to work black Friday and that was interesting,lol I didnt have to be there 1st thing in the morning, thank God!! But it was still hectic enough. And were still trying to get everything back to they way its suppose to be.

But enough about that...... Not a ton of scrapping going on here lately. My little ones were sick, then me. And then it was kinda like my Mojo just disappeared, so for the last week I've been non-creative..... But that hasn't stopped me from buying scrapping goodies!! lol. I have tons I've got and want to play with.I've been searching on the net for challenges and checking out other blogs for inspiration. I think I might have found some, so I'm going to try and jump on that tonight.

I'm going to try and start posting more often, hope that will stick. That's my plan for now. Off to laze around and spend some time with the kiddos.

A new venture???

Well I've been aware of Etsy for a long time now, as a lot of people are. My mom and sister have tried to encourage me to start my own shop on there to sell my scrap goodies. I've thought about it a lot and I'm kinda leaning towards opening my own shop. I haven't gone that far yet, but I have joined, so I have the option. Its something nice to play around with.lol

I've been trying to rationalize with myself on doing this, I know I scrap for fun and to keep my memories in a way that I think is pretty and will preserve them. And I have a few family members that expect to get layouts or mini albums for almost every holiday, so I usually have some laying around. So I think I might do it and see how it goes....... lol trying to convince myself I guess! Well I'll just start out with making a banner and avatar for my shop and then will see where I go from there.......

gone awhile, back again

Ok, so it’s been forever again since I blogged, but there’s been so much going on!!! The kiddos have started school; we’ve all been sick, ear drums bursting again!! Kids loosing teeth, family moving back and all kinds of crazy stuff!! But I have to say, I love it all. I’m happy to be with my family when their sick, I’m glad to know I can be there for them.
I have to say I’ve also had some fun going on too. Like I said I had family move back, that’s been in the last 2 weeks, and it’s great. My sister and her little girl are here now!! I’m loving it!! I’m getting to see my sister more and getting to know my niece more as well and it’s great. Me and my sister have been making bows for her little girl, so that’s been kind of new and fun!
But I’ve been scrapbooking too!! Lol. I think I’ve made like eight mini albums, well one is an art journal, and I’ve done some page layouts and some altered art stuff. I’m kind of a night owl, lol. So when everyone’s asleep, I get to get some of my fun stuff done, no interruption.
But since its been so long since I’ve blogged, I thought I’d share a few parts of the things I’ve been doing. And I have tons more that I’ll be sharing soon. So anyways, here are some bits and pieces of my projects…..

Ok so I know its bits and pieces here and there. I didnt show a full album, but I have tons that I've done. And there are so many scrapbook lines that I've bought and need to use!! More and more to come!!

I've been playing around with the challenge Websters pages has issued. Webster's Pages October Monthly Challenge: Dress a Dress Form. As soon as I'm finished I'll post pictures of it as well! Well that's all for now. Back again soon.

There are so many new things to play with!!!

OMG!! I'm loving the new releases from CHA. I've been playing with some of it! I love the new BoBunny lines! There so great. I've even got to play with the Whoo-ligans line and I loved it! I made a mini album out of the paper line and had so much fun doing it. Its being displayed at a local scrap store right now, but I'll have to get some pictures of it so I can post them here.

I've got to play with some of the new Basic Grey, love it as well. And all of the new Glimmer mists, glimmer glam, glimmer glaze and chalk board glimmer mist. There all so fun to play with. I love the bigger glitter in the glam and I love the way you can paint with the glaze and it looks so cute, I love the gloss sheen it leaves. And I love that the chalk board GM is so fun, to me it seems like it leaves more color behind. Crate papers new stuff is great! I've got to see it in person and like it even more then when I saw it on the computer, and Graphic 45, OMG!! I thought I loved steam punk debutant when I saw it on the computer, but I saw it Saturday for the 1st time in person and I can not wait to play with it!! Its so beautiful! There are so many things still out there that I haven't got to play with yet, but theirs still plenty of time for that.

I got to go scrapbooking this past weekend at my LSS, Scrapbook Corner, They had a Labor Day weekend crop, and it was so fun to get to go and be around all the scrapping fun. I got quite a few projects started but nothing really finished, lol! But I plan to have them finished by the end of the week. I have I think 4 single page LO's and a mini album. Oh I love the new Maya roads stuff too!! Cant get enough!! lol

So I'm going to say, I'll have my pictures up by the end of the week, and I'll also try to get pictures of my book made with the BoBunny Whoo-ligans line. So hope you stop by later to see!! Off to have some more fun!

New mini, distressed and grungy

Well I know I wrote that I had one of my memory cards break off in my computer, well we got it out, but it didnt seem to fix it, it wouldn't let me download anything when I put my memory cards in, so I had to find a way around it, I was going to try cds, but that would mean going to Walmart every time I wanted to put anything on my computer and I'm one of those people that wants instant gratification, so that didnt work for me,lol. Well when I did go to get a cd made I found this little card reader that plugs right into you USB port, problem solved!! So here are a few new things that I've been working on and have actually finished.

I got some of the new Tim Holtz papers about a week ago and I love them! Tim Holtz rules! lol The one I did this mini with is Lost and Found. I'm going to have to get some more of this! I like grunge and when I saw this paper it was like, Swoon..... lol I had fun with it though. I just wish I could have fit all of the pages in it! When I actually got it done I couldn't fit all of the pages in it, I even added one of Tim Holtzs knobs and put a closure on it to hold it better,lol but still only 6 of the pages fit in. I guess I could stick the rest of the pages in, but it doesn't close at all that way,hummmmm. Maybe I'll make another mini.... the possibility... :)

And here is a page I did of my sister and her little girl, it was for a sketch challenge online and I thought these pictures were perfect for this layout. Now I have to make sure my sister doesn't get her hands on it!! lol

And then here's a layout I did of me and my hubby. Its a little different then most of my LO's. I've played with transparency's before but this LO is on a transparency. I love the look of the LO's on transparency's. Anyways I think I've talked enough for now,lol, I tend to be long winded and I guess that even goes over to typing! But here's my last LO for the day.

I finally got my car back today!! After three weeks almost! It sounds stupid, but I was so excited to get my own car back. My parents were great and let me use there car while mine was in the shop getting fixed. But I'm so happy to have her back!!

I've been searching the web and looking at all of the new stuff from the new CHA release. And I cant wait till some of it hits the stores!! I'm already putting money back form my scrap habit!

I want pretty much everything from Prima!!! There masks are great and cant wait to play with those! The papers are great and the flowers and trims and the new albums!!! OMG cant wait!

and so many more!!

I probably have an opinion about just about every line that's coming out!lol I love to scrapbook! There are so many lines that I want, I need to get a job! Just to support my habit! lol

Well if I'm not on here for a while it usually has to do with my kids or me, either being sick or other family stuff. Well its been two weeks or a little more and theres been SOOOOO much going on.

I've made some stuff and wanted to get the pictures on here, but when I put my memory card in my computer it BROKE!!!! In the little slot where it goes. I don't know what I'm going to do about it, I was going to take it some where but I was suppose to be leaving with my husband to go on a little vacation/some classes for his work. Well I was fallowing him down and I got in a wreck. I swerved to miss a semi, went around the back of the semi and into a pretty deep ditch. It damaged the car enough to where in would take a while to fix, so I didnt get to go.:( I did get to spend that day in the ER though. God had to have been watching over me, because I made it out with whip lash and a lower lumbar strain. It would have been so much worse. When I got home from that I had a house full of guest,lol, we had a bunch of family come into town, they were suppose to stay at my parents, but since I was back we decided to have some come and stay with me. That was nice and once everyone left after that week, my kids got sick! lol always something....

So now I have a sick little one, hes had a high fever and been trowing up, so I took him to the doctor and its all from an ear infection. But hes on meds now and should be fine soon! Thank God!! So now to getting my computer fixed!! So hopefully I'll get some new stuff posted soon!

4th of July weekend and a new addition...

Well this past weekend was the 4th of July, but we really didnt do anything. My hubby was gone for work, so it didnt feel quite right. We still had fun though. We all went to my parents house and got in the pool, did some bbq'n. It was fun, it was more like a normal get together with our family,lol. We do that kind of stuff all the time. But it was fun!

Everything's kinds out of order here, so I guess I'll go backwards, already did Sunday so here's Saturday then Friday,lol. Well Saturday we added a new addition to our family. We got a dog! He's an adorable little chocolate lab and his name is Bo. The kids love him and begged me to bring him home and with me loving animals like I do, we brought him home with us,lol. And he's learning fast! We've had him 5 days now and he sits and stays when told to. But he doesn't like to be left alone, he'll whine and howl a little,lol. But he's so sweet!!

In his picture here, he'd been outside with us playing in the sprinkler! lol.

And on Friday I played with some lace, trims and some satin to make little flowers. They were fun and I think I might make some more.

They turned out pretty good, I think. The bigger ones are good as pins. I attached a few to some purses I have and even some shits and plain tanks I have. Just a little something to spice em' up a little,lol. Well off to scrap some more!

Ok well I dont know about y'all, but I love the Twilight series. I love the books, there a great read, but I also love the movies so far. I love seeing the story acted out,coming to life, even if some stuff is left out. I understand that they cant get EVERYTHING from the books in there.

But last night I went to the movies with 3 of my friends and it was great! I know that the new one, Eclipse didnt come out till today, but we went and watched all three in a row! lol. I personally own the 2 that are already out on dvd, but it was fun to watch them on the big screen again. I have to say though, sitting that long dose kinda hurt the bum.lol. But it was worth it! We started the first one at 7:17pm last night and they continued until 12:08 this morning when the newest one started. I got my parents to watch the kids, so it was nice to be out with some friends and watch the movies. The theater was packed and there were like 5-7 of the theaters covering the movie!lol. I think I was one of the only people there without any twilight gear on me though, Oh well.lol. I cant wait to added it to my dvd collection when it comes out.

I haven't scrapbooked anything twilight yet,hummmm. So I think that's something I'm going to have to do! lol. Hummmmm, wonder what to do?? Well I guess I'll figure something out and when I do I'll post it here.:) Anyone else interested in doing a Twilight themed LO and want to share, post a link in the comments! :) Well off to make lunch and then to start creating!

Our 1st visitor of the summer

We had our first visitor of this summer! We were inside and herd our dogs barking out side, we went out in the back yard an found a cute little turtle making his way to the pond! He was too cute! We watched him walk around the yard, and they aren't slow! It was funny because the dogs were scared of this little bitty turtle! lol But we've had quite a few in the yard now, along with some bunnies and deer. Its fun to see the animals and the kids love it!

Now, to get some more scrapping done?? Its a little hard when your away from home.We are away for a few day, well me and the kids at least, but I brought some scrapping with me to do after they go to sleep.lol. Hope I get some done! I miss having my desk, like i have at home. Well I'll post more when I get home! Sorry for being MIA

Trying something new today

Ok so I’m trying something new today, I’ve gotten some new found scrapbooking mojo from this site Marion Smith has and if you haven’t heard of Marion Smith, well then you totally need to check her out here on line, http://apieceofcraft.blogspot.com/

Well she is great!! And has tons of great ideas!! She also dose classes for Live with Prima too, http://www.livewithprima.com/

As do some other very talented ladies!! But you need to check both sites out!!

But Marion did a class the other night that was a tribute to Tim Holtz. Everything was totally grungafied!! And it was so great, so I thought I might try my hand at it! I’m completely into anything distressed or gruged up! Well I didn’t have everything that was needed so I’m improvising. Marion used color wash for soaking her pages in, but I don’t have it right now and I cant run to Michael’s or HobLob right now to get it, so I’m improvising with glimmer mist, witch when I asked Marion, she told me I’d have to use quite a bit, and I did, but I used a mixture of colors, so will see how it looks when it comes out of the dryer! And I’m also trying paint. Just regular acrylic paint, I’m pretty sure once that’s done it will be more pronounced, but will see. By the way I’m writing this as I’m going!lol

Ok so I thought that the paint water would come out darker and everything, but when I put it in the dryer it was really light, but I guess I’ll see when it comes out. But on the other hand, I’m totally LOVEING the papers I did with the glimmer mist water!! It looks distressed and its also shimmery! Love it! Now lets see if I can get the stitching down!

Ok, so I had a few problems with the stitching, but its all good I’ll be trying it again!! I have to get more water color paper!! I also didn’t have the sponge applicator, so I had to improvise with that too, but I still like the way my 1^st little book turned out, so far at least. I’m heading to Michael’s here in a few hours to pick up some of that extra thick embossing enamel! I’m excited about that. I love new things, I think I said that before, but any ways. I need to get some more of the Tim Holtz distressing ink pads, I love these and I’ve used my brushed corduroy so much that it seems kinds dry,lol. Tim to go shopping! Hahaha. I need some of the color wash, bad! I’m liking that effect the glimmer mist and water had so much more then the paint and waster, so I need something stronger to use so I don’t use all of my glimmer mist!

Ok well I love my 1^st book! I love the way it turned out, the coloring is great, I love the distressed look to it and the look of the pages is great! The only thing I’m not to hot about is that fact that when I used the embossing powder and then heated it, it looks like the grunge board shrunk. I really don’t think it did, but in the show Marion did, she said over time when you use it and stuff it will go back to normal, so its all good! Lol Love this and I will be doing it again! Actually I need to go finish the other one I started but I think I’m going to have to get color wash first, I really don’t like the way the paper turned out with the paint water. So that will be done later.

More bad weather

We've had more bad weather here, its been great, NOT! I'm ready for nice weather again. This weather has been messing with the internet, so I keep getting disconnected and kicked off. Its not been fun. There's really not been much going on here, I've been scrapbooking at my moms, trying to get her into some new thing. She tried scrapbooking on canvas for the first time this week. I've got her using glimmer mist on all kinds of things and embossing on all sorts of stuff. And shes been having a blast! I love that I can show her all these new things.

Oh ok, So I say there's not been a lot going on, But there has been. We got my parents pool up and running, so we've been in it quite a bit, my oldest son graduated from Pre-K, And that was so cute! They did such a great program, it was so fun to watch! I also got a TON of fabric at a yard sale. These girls owned a fabric store and closed it down, so they had a yard sale and decided to get rid of it, and at a great price! I got a ton of Amy Butler fabric and Basic grey. I love them and I got a sewing machine for mothers day so I've started on a quilt already too.lol Well heres a little picture of a small portion of what I got! I'll post more when I get one done. I'm in the process of finishing a Basic Grey quilt with the sultry line. Love it!

Mothers Day and a birthday

Everyone knows that tomorrow is Mothers Day, but its also my nieces birthday, But were celebrating her birthday today. Well I got her some of the stuff she wanted and then I made her a cute little picture frame with flowers and butterflies and a little bling and a little box that I added little feet to, painted it, modpodged it, added some flower and a little bling. I didnt do anything to extravagant because I know its going to get played with a lot and possibly tore up, but I think she'll like them.

I also made something for my sister for mothers day. I had taken a Donna Downey class that worked with canvas and that was my first time, well I liked it so much that I decided to use canvases to make something for her for Mothers day. I used and embroidery hoop and made a cute, ( in my opinion), little display with her daughter in a little fairy costume.

Off to get ready for the birthday party, night all.......

OMG! There has been so much going on here, well being sick and running around to doctors offices consentley! There are 3 of us in my family that had there ear drums burst this past week and we had some really crappy weather too.

Last Friday the weather here got terrible! We had tornado's all over the place, thunder and lightning storms and lots of rain!I was one of the ones with a bursting ear drum and its not been fun at all. My mom was actually in the process of taking me to the ER when we saw bad rotation and the tornado coming down, my mom asked me if I could deal with the pain and I said yeah and to hall butt home! We did and that tornado touched down to the right of where we saw it. That was crazy! We made it to my parents house, witch was where my kids were sleeping at the time because of me going to the ER. Well we got them and my dad helped us all get into the storm shelter. We stayed in the storm shelter until after midnight. That was the 1st time ever for me being in a storm shelter. But I'm just glad that we had it to go into.

Well the next morning I went to the doctor, most of the pain I had been in all night before was pretty much gone and sure enough I had a busted eardrum. But I also had a class to go to with Donna Downey. I had already paid and everything and I so wanted to go!!! Well after I left the doctors I went to the class and she is so great! She's the sweetest!! I couldn't hear real great because of the whole busted ear drum thing but I had so much fun! I didnt finish the album in class, but As soon as I finish it I'll post pictures, I love it thought and I will be doing more things like it I think!

And last but certainly not least, I took my oldest to school today and there was an extra sing up sheet at sing in, I looked at it and it said Graduation quests. We were suppose to write down how many guests we thought we would be bringing to our child's graduation. It took me a few minutes to realize that my son was fixing to graduate!! It may only be an elementary school graduation, but it surprises me how fast it snuck up on me. Hes fixing to graduate and schools going to be out. Its crazy! It just blows me away how fast things happen, my little guy is growing up!lol

Well I know I haven't been posting to much that I've been doing, but like I said before, trying out for a few design teams so I cant post thing that I'm using for the design team try outs. So when its over I'll have a bunch to post!! lol

Anyways..... Well my little ones have been sick and we haven't had the best luck with doctors. Whole other story there, but we went to another doctor today because my youngest spiked a high fever last night. Well I really like this doctors office, they really seemed great and they took there time, they didnt rush in and rush out. We were new patients and they took there time to get to know us some, so that was nice. And his ears and eyes look great, the infections are going away great, but the fever came from an infection on his throat, is what there thinking. They swabbed him and it wasn't strep so will know in a few 2 days what it is, but they said it could just be drainage from allergies, but there note sure. So were hoping just allergies. I'm just happy they didnt leave it as that it wasnt strep, I think its great that there making sure its not something else. And I'm so glad my baby is getting better!!

I also went by our local scrapbook store and got to pick up some new papers!! I got Max and whiskers, by Basic Grey and I cant wait to play with it!! I love it, its too cute!! I also got some other cute stuff to do a layout of my brother and his wife from there wedding. Well off to watch an online class that Donna Downey is teaching on live with prima. So good night.

Being sick stinks

I've been sick for, well I guess 2 days now. And I wish I could still be curled up in bed sleeping through it!! It started out with my oldest at the beginning of the week, then he was finw, or so we thought. They my youngest got pink eye, and then my oldest showed the same sings!! I really don't like pink eye! Took then to the doctor and everything was fine except the pink eye. Well we get home and my youngest takes a nap and wakes up screaming! Scares up to death, well when we get him and calm him down we notice theres something dripping out of his poor little ear. Anyways, some how his pink eye had turned into an ear infection and then on top of all of that both of them got the stomach virus. And of course since they got it, it meant mommy was going to get it too.

So the last few days have not been so nice and I haven't got to scrapbook like I wanted to. I was honestly trying to get some stuff done to try out for a design team, but I think it may have to wait another year. We will just have to see.....

Will see what happens. But I'm going to go for now and try and eat a little something, its been 2 days since I've ate, so I'm kinda hungry..... And then maybe take a nap while the little ones are down.

Wow it's only been 2 days since I blogged last and it seems like so much longer!

I've done a little scrapping, I've almost finished two different minis and they've been fun, but I haven't had a lot of time to scrap. When we went for "taco night" at my sisters the other night, we got a HUGE surprise! My oldest brother, that I havent seen since I got married over 5 years ago, was there!! He only live one state over, but we hadn't been able to work it out to go back and forth, and we actually just moved this close 2 years ago, anyways.... My sister and her friend had took off the day before and drove all night to get him and bring him back, so that was a nice surprise!! So we have him here for a few weeks and its great!!

Well then that night I'm sitting here trying to scrapbook and I hear one of my little ones fussing, so I go back there and its my youngest and he says he doesn't feel good. I sat with him and tried to get him back to sleep and when I thought I had I tried to sneak out of the room, but he wasn't having any of that. So i took just enough time to do a quick clean up of my desk and headed to bead way early! I cuddled him till he went to sleep and for a while after and then I tried to put him back in his bed. That worked for a short time and then he was back in bed with me, we did that twice before he stayed in his own bed,lol. Well I thought things were ok yesterday morning, the kids were acting fine. And me and my hubby were suppose to go on a date, so we headed out. Well when we got back last night both boys were sick! I wont go into details but it was a night that we ran back and forth to the bathroom. So we had little sleep last night and both kids at home today. So its been a long day and I'm hoping that tonight is a little better, but it looks like its going to be an early one! Hopefully I'll finish the two book tonight or tomorrow, Ill post them when I do! Night

Today was so long!! We had doctors appointments and where we go is about 45 min. away. Well we had one appointment at 8am and the other at 1:30 this afternoon.So it was ALL day!! I had 2 kids that weren't to happy with being stuck out for so long. One had to get shots and the other had to go see an ear, nose and throat doctor. So yeah it was great. There both good though.

I do have to say they did extremely well for feeling bad. We even went to a few scrapbooking stores and they helped pick out some papers and embellishments. They like to scrap with mommy too! lol. They did great on the ride home and once we got here my oldest wanted to nap, that never happens, hes past that stage. Hes only 5 but he never naps and he never chooses to nap on his own! But he laid down and napped for over an hour. But now both of the boys are up and getting into it already,lol. And now we need to go get ready for dinner at my sisters, taco night!! lol :)

I forgot something yesterday when I blogged. I watch some online videos on you tube and stuff, and I love it. The scrapbooking company Prima Marketing also has live classes a few times a week. Well I actually got to sit threw a whole class on Thursday!! I was so excited! Well when they do these classes they also have a chat that runs with it, its so great!! If you have questions you can ask and actually get them answered! Not only that, but you can get to know other scrappers around the world. Its nice, Anyways.... that also do giveaways when they have these chats, well I WON!!! I couldn't believe it! I won a giveaway from Tattered angels! Love them! Anyways I guess I just kinda wanted to brag!lol. But I cant wait to get my prize! I'll post a pick when I get it!!

I also have some pictures of a project I'm in the proses of for Mothers day. I think its kinda funny, cause I'm fallowing another blog that is starting a Blog Hop tomorrow, and there theme is from Shabby to Chic. Here's the blog, A piece of craft, But there taking things that were old and making them new. Well the reason I think its funny was because I wrote earlier this week that me, my mom, sister, our kids and a friend went yard selling, well I found a pretty little wooden box that I'm pretty sure use to be a music box, but all the stuff was pulled out of the inside. Well I liked the box, and so did my mom. Well I bought it and I wish I would have took a before picture, but it was pretty scuffed up, well I used some beautiful papers by Prima, and flowers, glimmer mist, modge podge, pretty bling, some lace and some butterflies. Well I dont think I'm dont with it yet, Theres still a few things I'd like to do but I'm posting some pictures anyways. But once I'm done with it, I'm going to load it with Prima flowers and bling for my mom for mothers day. I know she'll like the box and she'll love whats in it too!! lol

Well here it is so far, sorry the pictures aren't the best.lol More later

New layout and tons of other projects started.....

Well I got to go scrapbooking last night for the first time in FOREVER!!! I mean I scrap here at home by myself, but actually getting to go out and scrap around other people, its been about 3 months. So needless to say it was nice. Its like every time I go scrapbooking, I get re-energized. lol. Either way I had fun. My mom went with me and that was great! We really enjoy scrapbooking together. My sister actually just moved back around us and were getting her back in to scrapbooking, so its nice to to with them!

But I actually finished a 12x12 layout last night, and I haven't been really doing those, I've been more into the mini albums.lol But I have 2 little ones, like I've said before and with my youngest I haven't even scrapbooked his first hospital picture, so I did it last night. But I think it took me so long because I couldn't find the right paper and I finally did! The papers by Websters pages, I saw it and loved it!! But here's what it turned out like!

I love the way it turned out. I love this little picture of him. I also got to use metal charms for the first time and I love those now! And I've used glimmer mist before, but I really like the way it turned out on these flowers, it worked perfectly. I just really loved the paper and thought it went great with the picture,lol.

I also started a mini album last night. I havent taken any pictures of it yet, but I should be done in a day or so. I have more than one project going right now,lol. I always do! I'm also working on a mothers day gift for my mom, witch I can post pictures of because my mom never gets on the net, so when I'm finished with it I'll post those too. But another thing I've started is a quilt! lol
I have to get some pictures up of the beautiful fabric. To be honest, me, my mom, my boys, my sister, niece and one of my sisters friends all loaded up in two cars this morning and went out yard sailing and that's where I found the fabric.

These people use to own a fabric store here in town and they closed it down, well they had all there fabric in there garage for a few months now, so they decided to have a garage sale. They had great material too! I got Basic Grey material and Amy Butler material!! I love it all!! lol. I might go back and get more!! I bought a ton of it! I bought some by the yard, by fat quarters, and buy jelly rolls! The colors are so great though!lol But I have a quilt top made out of Basic Grey already so now I need to get the boarder on it and the backing and I can start another one!! lol, just a side hobby!!lol Any ways..... I'll get more pictures soon! Keep tuned!lol

Family stuff and New things to play with

I've been away for a while, there's been non stop stuff going on here! One of my sons had to have allergy test and now has to get shots twice a week, but there already helping, bad allergies. We've been sick again! Glad that's over! My hubby started a new job, and then my dad had a heart attack.

It's been crazy!! Everythings ok now though, well its alright. My dad is doing ok, but hes being a man! He cant stand to sit around like the doctors told him to, stubborn!! lol, but hes doing better and my son can play out side like a normal kid now, so that's great!!! And my hubby is enjoying his new job.

So now back to scrapbooking!!!!lol. I've been watching different thing online, and I've gotten, I guess you can say kinda obsessed with a few things,lol. I'm totally loving tattered angels glimmer mist!!! Its great on all sorts of things, you can add just a light sheen to something or go all out and paint with it. And it all looks great!!! I've got a few things started, I'll have to finish them up and get them posted here so you can see.

I've also adventured into the world of Tim Holtz....... I'm loving the metals and grunge boards!! And I'm starting to dabble a little with alcohol inks.

And then I've always love Prima, but now I am totally digging the white flowers, all of them!! The innocent collection, the little white cameo roses, marshmallow lilliput roses, the snow tea roses, the e line flowers....... and so many more!!! Don't get me wrong I still love the already colored ones, but I like the fact that I can add whatever I want to theses flowers and make them match whatever I'm doing. And the fun thing is you can add glimmer mist to them, you can use the alcohol ink on them and everything, you can add glitter, its like the possibility's are endless!!
ooooh and that goes for butterflies too!!! lol. Anyways.....

Like I said I have a few projects started and my goal is to get them up by the end of this week, so here's me keeping my fingers crossed that I can get this stuff done and that not a ton of things come up!! lol but that's life hu?
So hopefully I'll be posting more later this week!!!!

New year and new stuff

Its already good into the new year and I'm sick again! blah! lol I don't like being sick and its like it keeps happening, but I guess with a little one in school its going to keep happening! Anyways.. I still haven't finished my paper holders made out of priority mail boxes but as soon as I'm feeling better I'm going to get on it so that I can post pictures as promised.

But New things... I've laid in bed on the computer off and on for a few days when I felt good and have been checking out the new CHA sneak peeks and there so great! PRIMA!!! OMG! They have tons of new stuff that I can't wait to get m hands on! Check them out HERE. They have some great new stuff, but there done with there sneak peaks so you can look at all of theres already and dont have to wait for a day by day, but I personally love the day by day looks! I cant wait for more. And now I'm watching Maya Roads!! LOVE THERE STUFF! I cant wait to get there coaster albums!! That elephant one if going to be great! And so is the strawberry one! And the rest of them too!! lol I love the new minis they have too. I cant wait to use the little butterflies! And the sewing set should be fun! And the Kraft tickets!! My list goes on and on!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you are getting to be at home with your family and having a nice time. It was pointed out to me that heart attacks go up 5% at this time of the year and I think that's sad, everyone gets so stressed. So I hope that everyone can take time out and relax and enjoy there family this Christmas!

And to everyone that's stuck because of this bad weather, I hope you are all ok and I hope it all clears up so that you can get home too!

Believe it or not, I'm sitting at home in my pj's still eating a bowl of cereal and watching my kids watch cartoons,lol. Its still raining outside here and were under flash flood warning and its not suppose to stop for a while, and when it dose were suppose to be under winter weather advisory. 2 of the roads out of my house are flooded, so I'm hoping one stays open! lol. But I am happy to be sitting here with my kids and being able to relax with them. Anyways.... Going run and finish my breakfast, Again Merry Christmas!!!

New scrapping storage??? for cheap?

Well its not a shock to everyone that the economy is kinda sucking right now. I know there's tons of families out there that are having problems because of losing jobs, my husband lost his, so I'm right there with you all.

But I scrapbook, as you know from here on my blog. And I've been needing more storage for my scrapbooking paper. I like to have it where I can see what I have, other wise I have the tendency to forget I have it. But I don't really have the money to go out and buy a bunch of storage for my stuff at the moment, Christmas for the kids is more important. So I went to the post office and got some of there biggest priority mail boxes, there 12 and 15/16 in. wide, so they work great!

Well my first try was not the best, I messed up and cut it straight threw from one side, if you decided to make some of these on your own, don't have the same mistake as me,lol. It made it short on one side to where it didnt have the flat edge on the top like I wanted:

Then I tried another way. I used the one I messed up on to lay it on another box and trace it on that one. Then I flipped the box and traced it on the other side, but you do have to make sure you line them up and the flat top is on the same side on both sides. Just to make sure I had it done right this time, before I ruined another box, I folded it and it looked great! So I laid it back down, cut gently on the lines I drew and then folded it back up again and carefully cut threw the box all the way around.

And here's what it looks like!

But I'm not done with it yet!! I'm going to add some scrapbook paper and a label on the spine, so that when I sit it on my desk I can see what it is! I'll post some pictures once I get them done!!

I've been wanting to go outside so bad lately, but its so cold I can't stay out. I've been kinda looking forward to rain because it warms up a little,lol, but then it freezes. But I've been sitting here at my scrapbooking desk watching my crazy husband stand out on our back porch and grill a Boston butt. Every time he goes out he has to put on his boot, and his carheart jacket,lol, He looks funny! But when its like this I get to get more of my scrapbooking done. That is, when the kids are down for there bap or really involved in a movie,lol.

I've got a few things I've got to get done for some friends and family members, I have a few family members that expect to get a mini album every holiday. I've still got a few that I have to finish for Christmas, but unfortunately they'll be a little late, hope no one will be mad at me, but I've had 2 sick little ones lately, but everyone seems to be on the mend, so hopefully everyone will understand.

Here's a mini I did awhile back of one of my kids. I was sitting at my scrap desk and looking threw pictures and found that I had lots of random photos that were left over from layouts and stuff, so I decided I'd make a mini album out of them. I had printed them because I loved them and wanted to use them so I did. This isn't even all of the album, but it would have taken quite a while to download all of those,lol

This is my sister and her little girl. I only have boys, so its nice to have a girly touch in there off and on! But I did this layout on the simple side because I didnt want to take away from the pictures, there so cute! And sometimes simple can be perfect!! I loved getting the chance to try something new with embellishments to. I saw this flower somewhere else, but I wanted to try it. And I loved how they turned out.

Starting my own personal blog! Yay! I love scrapbooking and that's what I mainly want this blog to be for. My onley consern has been that my main subjects for my scrapbooking are my children. And I'm weird about putting there pictures up on the net. But I guess I can scramble there faces or something, I'll figure it out.... And I will be posting pictures of a few of my things this afternoon. I guess this is how you get started hu??
